
Storage Garage
Built in 1888 it is a vernacular structure this was also the very first building on the
campus. All functions were administered from this building. by 1900 the building was used
as a blacksmith and then a painting shop. On the east side there was a wood working shop
and then a knitting shop. In 1929 the west section was listed as the colored dormitory.
Most of the windows on the west were taken out and had a double garage door installed. The
building faces north and to the east of administration building.
