NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS (NHN) FOOD PANTRY
BOARD MEETING
December 13, 2007

Members Present: Virgil Goodin, Tom Priester, Todd Sanzottera, Randy Richards, Margie Strange, Marsha Goodin, Louise Bolin, Wanda Vonderahe, Jeanne Pascale, Leslie Stock, Joyce Roach.

Members Not Present: Bobbie Bauer, Hazel Stone, Art Schneider

Guests: Ted Bleil, Mary Harris-Koth, Theresa Krebs, Debra Marshall

Meeting called to order.

  • Motioned to accept minutes as corrected by Leslie, seconded by Margie, all in favor so approved.

  • Building Discussion

    • Mary Harris has 6 foot dividers donated by Saint John’s UCC Church.

    • Toured the space available.

    • Open Bible Praise Center will donate back door, build wall and put a railing outside.

    • Boonville Daily News Needs: $200 a month utilities, liability insurance and a representative on board. Tom motioned to accept Boonville Daily News offer of building, seconded by Leslie, all in favor so carried.

  • Virgil mentioned the need to rent a PO Box.

  • Virgil handed out Board Member list and made corrections and additions.

  • Discussed new application for food and accepted the letter and application to go out in January food distribution.

  • Discussed committees and signed up or was assigned.

  • Leslie moved that the Fundraising Committee apply for city grant, Tom seconded, all in favor so carried.

  • Pat Hanna is working on a Logo for Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

  • Went over bylaws and made changes to Article 2 to 14 board members. Tom moved and Wanda seconded motion to accept bylaws. All in favor so carried.

  • Discussed moving everything from Food Pantry things from Santa Fe Trail Baptist Church. We will meet AM Saturday. Randy will bring trailer.

  • Discussed state and federal paper work.

    • Articles on Incorporation for State

    • Articles of incorporation for Federal.

    • Randy motioned to accept these with changes in name as needed, seconded by Tom. All in favor so carried.

  • Discussed “Conflict of Interest Policy”. Wanda made motion to accept this policy, seconded by Randy, all in favor so carried.

  • Discussed January food distribution – January 8th
    Set up January 7 at 9 a.m. Distribution from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on January 8.

  • Motion by Leslie to adjourn, seconded by Randy, all in favor so carried.

  • Next meeting January 7 at 4 p.m. at Open Bible Praise Center
