710 E. Spring

The house was built by George Garthoffner around 1910.  He was a cigar maker in Boonville between 1890-1910, postmaster, and a salesman.  Accenting the irregularity of the plan is a rectangular bay to the west which has a brick gable end.   Leaded and stained glass accents the stairs and appears at the windows on the north and west.  The porch on the northeast has a hip roof, wide entablature, concrete columns in a spool, square molded concrete block piers and a molded concrete balustrade.  There is a new chimney to the east and a new two-story pent roofed addition on the southeast.  There is a frame two-car garage to the southeast along the alley.
