Parks and Recreational Facilities
City Park: 29.4 acres on the west side of Hwy 5 (Cleveland Street) has shelter houses, picnic tables,
ponds, basketball courts, playground equipment, skate boarding area, and a lighted softball field with bleachers.
The outdoor swimming pool, recently restored and upgraded, is located here.
Liberty Park a 5.4 acre neighborhood park and playground with two shelter houses with tables, basketball courts, and lighted ball field.
D.C. Rogers Lake and Peters Lake: Located west of town on Highway E, both parks offer a scenic setting for family outings.
D.C. Rogers Lake also offers electrical hook-ups for camping, a frisbee-golf course, shelter house,
picnic tables, playground and a boat ramp. Peters Lake has picnic facilities, a shelter house and fishing access.
Rickett’s Trail: A walking trail with fitness stations, fishing and picnic area.
Fayette Golf Course A privately operated 9-hole course on Highway 5 north of the city park
