307-309 E. Spring
The brick residence on a stone foundation dates in the 1880's.
It is of a late Italianate design
with a wide plain frieze accenting the shallow eave of the roofline. The
south face has a one-story rectangular bay, two central entrances, and an
Eastlake porch which extends across the length of the side.
The structure has a stone water table.
Later additions include a brick one-story, pent area which has an
enclosed porch over it and pent frame porches with metal roofs on the north.
Originally built as a duplex, it was converted into 4 apartments recently.
Along the alley to the north is a pent, frame shed.
