6th St.
This residence sits on a high embankment facing east onto 6th Street.
The front steps have been removed. Built
in the 1870’s, this brick residence has a central entrance on the west with a
porch which covers the center 3 bays. There
is an original ell on the north bay of the west façade.
Additions include a pent roofed brick addition on the northwest corner,
a frame addition along the south façade of the ell, and pent brick ell
on the south bay of the west façade, and a green house which extends to the
west and south where it forms a link between 743 and 747 6th St.
The one outbuilding is a partially underground concrete garage at the
street level on the east.
