523 6th St.

This Vernacular structure, built in the late 1920’s, may have been part of a structure listed as a Tin Shop in 1917.  However, by 1929 alterations had made it into the current structure, a dwelling.  The east façade has an entrance inset into the northeast corner, first story.  This section sits on a molded concrete block foundation which has 2 raised basement windows.  In 1977 alterations again took place that converted the four bedrooms into three on the second floor; removal of rear balcony, installation of dropped ceilings, paneling, and window removal were done on the first story.  The rear yard is small and has a patio and palisade fence.  There are no outbuildings.
