The home was built in
1899 for Frank Truby ,a Boonville photographer,as his residence in 1899.
This home sits on
property that earlier incorporated the Jegglin pottery-a remaining portion of
the pottery kiln is still evident in the foundation of the home two doors to the
north on 7th. St. The
structure has been converted into 4 apartments. The end chimneys and boxed
gutters are the key features of this structure. The south façade has 2
entrances with a gable cap, concrete stoop and wrought iron railings. There is
a pent porch over additions to the north. Just to the northeast of the
residence is a small brick gabled structure which has a chimney and segmentally
arched openings. A gravel parking area is to the north.
