404 Main

Built in 1844 and reconstruction in 1907 this Vernacular style building was built for a hotel. The building has hip dormers to façade and a wide frieze and architrave. A one story porch extends across the north and west and wraps around the northeast and southeast corners. The structure sets on concrete embankment with a stone retaining wall. Oral history indicates that the hotel was the headquarters of the Union Troops during the Battle of Boonville.
