PURPOSE: To assist women in "dead end" jobs to seek a "new direction".

SERVICES RENDERED: Career counseling and exploration, vocational assessment, support services referral prior to and during training, career decision making, accredited child care information and follow up, job search assistance to recruit into high tech, high demand, nontraditional training programs. Provide links to financial aid.

PERSONS SERVED: Homemakers, single mothers, displaced homemakers and anyone seeking careers non-traditional for their gender.

AREA SERVED: Serves 10 schools including: Boonslick Area Vocational Technical School, Boonville; Columbia Area Career Center, Columbia; Marshal Area Vocational Technical School, Marshall; State Fair community College, Sedalia; Cooper, Boone, Saline, Howard, Pettis, Morgan, and Moniteau counties.

FEES: No charge for the counseling and testing. There are fees for the training. No fees for the workshops.

HOURS: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
