PURPOSE: To improve family living by providing financial assistance

and social services to eligible individuals and families.

SERVICES RENDERED: Income Maintenance; Aid to families with dependent children,

Medicaid for children, general relief, Medicaid for pregnant women, refugee assistance,

specified low income Medicare beneficiaries, medical assistance for children in care, medical assistance,

supplemental nursing care, food stamps, supplemental aid to the blind, blind pension,

child care assistance, energy assistance.

Children/Families Services; Child abuse/neglect investigations, family centered assessment services,

information and referral Services, alternative care supervision, foster home recruitment/licensing,

adoptive home recruitment/licensing, adoptive placement support services, multi-disciplinary services.

PERSONS SERVED: Those eligible for financial assistance which is based on individual need determined

by criteria set out in Federal and State rules and regulations. Also, individuals and families experiencing a problem,

or the potential of child abuse and neglect. Eligibility for other services are dictated by

requirements set out in State and Federal regulations and the policies of the Division of Family Services.
