In 2003, the church received a grant from the city's Historical Preservation Funds. Repairs and renewal were made possible.
THEN....on February 20, 2004, a Dedication Service was held. Songs, praise and worship came together to make it a time of jubilation! Rev. Edwin Donaldson, Jr., the pastor at the time of the renewal process, came back from Kansas City to give the main address at the service. He brought the church choir from his Kansas City Church with him. Local membership, representatives from other local churches, city and county officials from Boonville, and friends of the congregation came together to give thanks for the renewal.
