WHAT IS KIWANIS?

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated
to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

THE NAME:  The name "Kiwanis" stems from an
Indian phrase which, roughly translated, means
"to express one's self"

WORLDWIDE SERVICE PROJECT:

To virtually eliminate the world's leading cause of preventable mental retardation, iodine deficiency disorders.  
The World wide Service Project is part of the ongoing "Young Children: Priority One" program.
